Deadline:
Monday 30 June 2025

Whether you’re a seasoned speaker or stepping up for the first time, this is your moment to share your story and inspire a vibrant community of professionals who are passionate about what they do.

Save the Dates

The 2025 ICB Bookkeepers Summit is a three-part celebration of learning, connection, and innovation:

  • In-person Summit: Monday, 17 November at the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London

  • Virtual Tech Day: Wednesday, 19 November - a deep dive into the latest tools and tech

  • Full Virtual Summit: Thursday, 20 November - a dynamic day of keynotes, breakout sessions, and community engagement

Each day features a unique lineup of speakers, so there are plenty of opportunities to get involved.

Why Speak at the Summit

This isn’t your average industry event. The ICB Bookkeepers Summit is the UK’s only national conference dedicated solely to bookkeepers, and it’s designed to be as engaging as it is educational.

  • We begin the day together, then split into two tracks so attendees can tailor their experience

  • Our virtual platform is built for interaction, with sessions available on demand for three months

  • You’ll be speaking to an audience that’s eager to learn, grow, and be inspired

Who Will You Be Speaking To

Over 800 bookkeepers join us each year during Global Bookkeeping Week - a mix of ICB members and non-members alike. They are:

  • Mostly small business owners and sole traders (65 percent), many with 35 or more clients

  • Agile, entrepreneurial, and deeply connected to the businesses they serve

  • Predominantly women (78 percent), with over half running their practices part-time

They’re looking for practical insights, fresh ideas, and inspiration - not sales pitches. Think: tech trends, legislative updates, business growth strategies, and real-world stories that resonate.

What Makes a Great Session

Our attendees are:

  • Tech-savvy and forward-thinking

  • Hungry for tools and techniques that make their work more efficient

  • Curious about what’s next in tax, payroll, and business trends

  • Looking for content that is original, relevant, and actionable

If you’ve got a story, strategy, or solution that can help them thrive, we want to hear from you.

Who Can Apply

Absolutely anyone. Whether you’re a:

  • Bookkeeper, accountant, or consultant

  • Farmer, fisherman, or philanthropist

  • Chef, coder, or creative

If you’ve got something valuable to share, we’re listening.

You can even team up with a colleague or fellow bookkeeper for a joint session. And if you’re new to speaking, we can help you find coaching and support. Not sure if your idea fits? Reach out to Elizabeth Carter for a chat.

How to Apply

Just fill out the application form here with the following:

  • Your contact details

  • A high-resolution headshot

  • Your company logo (high-res)

  • A short speaker bio

  • Your session title and summary

  • Your preference for in-person or virtual

Deadline: Monday, 30 June 2025

This is a firm deadline. We’ll review all applications in July, start contacting speakers in August, and reveal the full agenda in September.

TICKET FAQS

What's included at the in-person event?

The in-person event day includes a hot lunch, refreshments throughout the day, and an ICB delegate bag. We'll have inspirational keynote speakers and a thriving exhibition for you to see.

Do I get a discount if I'm an ICB student or member?

ICB students and members receive a discount on the general admission ticket price (valid ICB Number required at checkout). Please contact ICB if you'd like to discuss joining or need to find out your ICB Number.

Can I use the app?

Yes, no matter what ticket you purchase, you'll get a login to our event app for networking during the Bookkeepers Summit. This is a great way to meet other bookkeepers, or say hi before you meet up in-person.

Why am I being charged VAT?

In previous years, Bookkeepers Summit tickets were exempt from VAT because the event was sold directly by ICB, falling under our VAT exemption as a recognised UK educational institution. This year, however, tickets are being sold through our event management company, Redactive. Under VAT rules, when a third party sells tickets on our behalf, the exemption no longer applies and VAT must be charged at the standard rate. If your organisation is registered for VAT then you can usually claim back any VAT you pay. We’ve worked to keep prices as low as possible despite this change, and we appreciate your understanding.
