Legacy Numbers – how we built a business with purpose
In this session, Lindie and Thando Jacobs share how they built Legacy Figures Accountancy with purpose, balance, and legacy at the core. Lindie will discuss her move from the Civil Service into accounting and how she shaped a business that allowed her to prioritise both impact and family. Together, they’ll reveal how they run a practice as a couple, balancing roles, boundaries, business growth, and raising a young family. A session for those who want a business that supports their life, honours their values, and creates a legacy beyond the numbers.

Social Media That Works
Social media doesn’t have to feel overwhelming, random, or like a waste of time. In this powerful, practical session, Bev Flanagan shows you how to turn your online presence into a genuine client magnet. She’ll share what really works for accountants and bookkeepers, from the kind of content that builds trust to the posts that actually bring in enquiries. Expect straight talking advice, real examples, and proven strategies. If you’ve ever wondered how to make social media work for your practice (and not the other way around), this session is for you.

Helping the books make sense for neurodiverse clients
Working with clients to help find a way to present the information in a format that makes sense to them. We all digest information differently and I could spot when a client used to glaze over in a meeting with their accountant. She was once presented with a 17-tab Excel document, and I could see the panic in her eyes. I have turned the information into infographics, breaking down her sales income across her business, focussing on the largest overheads and showing how the Directors Loan Account works. I also meet with her regularly to keep her on track.

Staying Sane as a Solo Practitioner
A session about Mental Health and the importance this has on your success. How solo working can be lonely, struggles that people can face on their journey, where you can reach out for help. The benefits of finding your people and building support networks through the ICB community and beyond. We hope this session will leave people feeling that being and ICB bookkeeper isn't about doing it alone but that there is a whole community of likeminded people out there willing and able to support you each step of the way.

The All-Stars Panel
Join Ami Copeland for a lively and inspiring conversation with three of the brightest rising stars in bookkeeping. Fresh from winning Practice of the Year, Chi Yun (Sam) Wai brings the energy and innovation of a modern digital practice. Shirley Hidderley, a specialist in farm and rural bookkeeping, shows how bookkeepers are evolving alongside the UK’s most traditional industries. And Cassie Tipson, who moved from AAT to ICB, brings a powerful perspective on why bookkeepers are choosing new pathways and shaping the profession’s future from the ground up.
Together, they will explore why bookkeeping is alive and kicking - more dynamic, more in-demand, and more future-ready than ever. From AI to advisory, niches to new opportunities, these All Stars represent the next generation of bookkeeping leadership.
